Contribuiți la feedbackThe place is very nice. You must eat arepa con Asado. For me that was the signature taste of the pace. The stuff is very friendly and the price is fair enough .Enjoy!
My husband and I visited Gordo Ex Cafe a few weeks ago for the first time and the food is absolutely amazing. My husband is from Venezuela and he was missing his cuisine and myself I have never had Venezuelan food. Both of us agree the food is extremely good, very flavourful and generous portions. The service staff is a pleasure with big smiles. The dining room is very small, 6 tables I think, so at times there can be a wait but the food is worth the wait. Prices are very reasonable especially if someone is on a budget. Just wish they offered delivery through Just-Eat or UberEats
Delicious food for a fair price! Only downside is the service which is quite slow but will definitely return for more delicious food! Must try: cachapas, tostones, tequeños and arepas fritas con queso y nata
Came to Gordo Ex on a hangover Sunday without knowing anything about the place. It was around noon, so it was just starting to get (surprisingly) busy. Service was quick and informative; our server answered all of our questions and kindly gave us his best recommendation. The 'corn pancakes, ' as he described them, were fantastic and generous in portion. Our 'cheese finger ' appetizer was equally as fantastic (came with three exceptional dipping sauces) so much so that we had to order a few more before leaving.<br/ <br/ Definitely would go back to try more items from their diverse menu.
There were three of us at Gordo Ex for a late lunch today. My son had been there before, and recommended that we start with Tequeños, which are melted cheese sticks in a pastry wrapper. I'm always up for melted cheese, and these were tasty. <br/ <br/ Then we moved on to Arepas, which are essentially Venezuelan sandwiches in a soft, pillowy corn-based flatbread pocket. Between the three of us we had the Vegetariana (vegetarian), Tricolor (beef/chicken/cheese) and La Llanera (steak/avocado/cheese/tomato). Accompanied by various sauces (garlic/avocado/chipotle), eating was messy, but satisfying.
