Contribuiți la feedbackWe had a tasty brunch with sunny side up eggs. The carnivore in our group thoroughly enjoyed his club sandwich. I wouldn't hesitate to return for brunch again.
We brought our non-vegan friends to Doug's Public Kitchen to introduce them to vegan food based on the fantastic TripAdvisor reviews, and we were disappointed. Despite trying to convince them throughout the meal, they were not impressed. While a good restaurant can have a hippie-dingy look, the underwhelming food and decor left much to be desired. This was one of the worst vegan meals I have ever had: bland, uninspired, and messy. A big plate of tofu smothered in a lackluster sauce does not make a meal. Plain tofu chunks without proper cooking and seasoning are inedible. The only redeeming quality was the coffee, which was decent. Save yourself a trip, especially if you're unfamiliar with vegan cuisine. It will not leave a good impression.
I have visited this restaurant twice, and this time I brought along my non-vegan friend. We did not have a reservation, but were seated within 10 minutes. It took a while for our server to take our order as the restaurant was busy, but the food came out quickly. We ordered the bagel and carrot ox, which was absolutely delicious. We both loved it! I tried the vegan benedict because I was curious about the vegan egg yolk, and my friend had the reuben sandwich. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left feeling satisfied. I also had a hot goji latte that was incredibly tasty. The prices are a bit higher here, but the portions are generous, the food is delicious, and overall it was a great experience.
.... vegan, organic and (mostly) gluten-free. dougs passion for nutrition speaks through his carefully prepared and thoughtful dishes. from its velvety butternut squash max and cheese up to its creamy cheesecake, its vegan eier benny to its fluffy omelette each meal is artistically plated and. recommend a joy at the heartily!
First, I have to admit that I am not a vegan. When we got to the restaurant, I was really excited about trying the food based on the reviews I had read. I was a little skeptical when I realized they were making imitation food.. imitation eggs and bacon. The presentation of the food was beautiful but the taste was definitely not to my liking. I am happy to eat vegan food but imitation is never is as good as the orignal. If I am going to have an egg, I want a real egg!
