Contribuiți la feedbackDon't let the name on the review fool you, this is Cloves the Spice on Eglinton and the food is great. Tasty Indian food, not buffet, but prepared to order, Thali has generous servings of either meat or vegetarian options. Friendly and gracious service. Great place for lunch or dinner for informal or family meals.
My friend and I stopped in here for a lunch. It was very quiet, only one other table of two. It's a no frills place. The incense was very strong. They were nice enough to make a me a veggie korma which wasn't on the menu. I was excited to receive my meal however when I started I found a black bug, very small, in my korma. Things in life like this don't phase me, so I removed it and kept eating because,we'll it was really that good. The manager/server also didn't surface from the back for a long while. The food was very good except for the bug issue. The manager was very apologetic, says it's never happened before and comped my meal. Eat at your own risk :)
We ordered takeaway from Cloves the Spice on Eglinton, which came quickly via Just Eat - what a discovery! Truly authentic and delicious (north) Indian food, with generous portions and really good value for money. The naan was sadly quite disappointing, especially given the good food which made it stand out even more. Hopefully this was just a fluke and we're looking forward to our next meal soon!
Tasty and delicious, this neighbourhood Indian joint has never let me down. The business seems to be mainly take-away -- and indeed I've ordered a number of times from JustEat. I've also eaten at their Eglinton Ave location a number of times. It's usually pretty quiet -- which seems too bad because the dishes are no less than sumptuous! Service is friendly and prompt. I'm a sucker for their butter chicken and paratha -- and for dessert nothing beats ras malai. Just talking about it makes me hungry.
6 of us went to this restaurant on the recommendation of one of our members who has been to the Cloves and Spice many times. The service and food were excellent. We were filled up, and the price was right. We sat by the window, and it was quiet. We tried all the flavours of Naan bread. I liked the onion the best.
