Café Boulud - Toronto

Great reputation for food and service. I had the leg of lamb and my wife had the rotisserie chicken. The only difference between my wife's home cooked chicken and theirs was theirs was super moist. The lamb was not a winner for taste but it was for tenderness and quantity. They were totally outclassed by The Kitchen in Sacramento California and the French Laundry in Yountville California.

Went to Cafe Boulud for a key anniversary as indicated in the booking. Underwhelming server experience - poor explanation of menu items ("small portion, but very tasty!?!?"), no conversation whatsoever (expected in a restaurant located in a 5-star hotel), infrequent and delayed checks on food quality or whatever else may be required, and a bill brought forward without being requested (have certainly not exceeded the expected time to dine and there were many tables available).The food was interesting, but below expectations in quality and a lot more expensive than common sense (glass of red wine at $24 with full bottle of the same wine in wine store at $19-a bit disproportionate I would say). Also, some guests getting a lot more attention from owner/other staff. We also got new food put on the table when we were expecting desert-wrong table...Wish I had booked somewhere else for an important night for me and my family. We made the best of it, but disappointed.

Took my partner to Cafe Boulud for a surprise birthday dinner. The food was really good and the service top notch. Courtney took very good care of us and made our experience extremely pleasant. Dining here is not cheap but if you don't mind spending a bit more it's well worth it. Highly recommend and will return.

Twee opeenvolgende avonden zowel privé as de dag erna zakelijk gedineerd. hoge kwaliteit en ruime keuze met daarbij bijzonder vriendelijke en desfache bediening. Pre-en after dinner drinks in het ondergelegen grand caffe met live entertainment.Maakt deel uit van four seasons hotel.

Upon entering this restaurant you can feel the mystery and wonder what famous people are eating here , the food was excellent but the service needs to improve.
