Balsamico - Toronto

Our daughter just went to the opposite and we wanted to bring her to dinner. chose balsamico on the basis of the reviews menu, and we could not have been happier. the choice and quality of food was fantastic, and the service was before place! definitely recommend to make reservations...and try this jewel!

My favorite Italian ritter in the city. wonderful eating and consistent, exemplary service (professional, very experienced,) and a warm, comfortable atmosphere. great for a date, time with friends or business. great value.

We were friends for an evening out. service was very good, eat what good, I had pizza, friends had laughs and calamari. atmosphere was also good.

Enjoy our meal in this restaurant I had the penne pasta with huh and mushrooms very good, their tiramisu is to die, but was very disappointed on their Spanish coffee much better home. will go back again, but will not be ordered.

My business partner and I along with our frequent local fine dining establishments on a monthly basis. We spare no expense. I have been to this restaurant on two separate occasions but tonight will be our last visit to this restaurant. Typically I refrain from...writing reviews as our experiences have been generally very good to excellent. I will say that the food is very good. Tonight though I felt compelled to write a review. Our reservations were for 4 ppl at 630 pm. My wife and I arrived at 625 and were promptly seated. We proceeded to order athec1st of two 70 bottles of wine. Our party was a bit late and showed up at 655pm. At 645 the manager/ owner approached us to inform us that they had a second seating at 830, when she saw the disgust in my face she quickly rebutted by saying that they would make it work. RUSHED. This set the evening off to a very poor start. We promptly ordered focaccia and olives followed by antipasti and our mains. My wife's order was placed and later told that they ran out of the veal she had ordered. While my partners wife was eating her antipasto both the owner and the serving staff walked by on two seperate occasions to see if she was done. RUSHED The owner then came back to my wife and asked if she would like to change her meal to something closer to that which she had originally ordered. My wife agreed. The owner then proceeded to go place the order rolling her eyes and huffing away. Totally unprofessional. We were with good company and I wasn't going to let her incapability,unprofessionalism, and poor management skills ruin our evening. She did however come to ask how our mains were. In general they were good, with the exception of my pasta dish. I handed her my mostly complete meal indicating that the pancetta was burnt. I expect nothing in return but at the very least an apology. RUSHED RUDE CLASSLESS. Now having been told at 645 that we only had till 830 we recieved a desert menu at 811. I know this because I was forced to be conscious of the time. At 823 she asked if we would like to order desert ....but we would need to relocate seats NEVER EVER have I been asked to move seats. 4ppl our bill was 500. I would spend 1000 anywhere else but at Balsamico. Disgusting experience. I would like to however commend our waiter the staff and the chef for a great job. But this restaurant would be better served with a more welcoming and professional manager focused on customer service.
