It is not a large menu, but certainly there are sufficient possibilities for most flavors. Especially interesting was the Caesar salad, which could be ordered more with kale than romain. Both ducks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The restaurant serves free bread that seems unusual nowadays. We thought the wine list was extremely expensive, although the red bottle we ordered was nice and served at the right temperature. Coffee we ordered was also expensive. We didn't try the desserts because they seemed quite expensive.
The service was good, our server Nikita was very attentive. The food was also good and the part was good, although in our experience the cut of steak we got was quite hard and had a lot of sine that spoiled the main course. The noise level was due to a guest on the bar-lounge side, who spoke with a loud voice throughout the dinner, no one seemed to tell the person to lower their voice. The main host and a male server also spoke loudly about other guests that I did not want to hear as a guest, because it brought us that when we leave, they will go about what we were as guests.
Great place for business meetings where you really want to hear.
We dined at portico prior to going to theatre. Service was friendly and efficient. Great food particularly the feature flatbread. Would definitely visit again!
I feel that the ratings are a little high on Open Table for this restaurant. It is connected to a hotel, as well, and not a major brand. The seafood risotto was not creamy but gluey. Dessert portions huge and my dining partner enjoyed that. I don't recommend Portico for any special occaision.
