Osteria I Birbi - TORGIANO

Can’t say I’ve had a bad meal in Perugia but a certain sameness prevails in the local cuisine, dominated by robust meats and cheeses. For a change of pace, try Osteria I Birbi, where the chef takes a lighter, creative approach, while using the most seasonal products of the terroir. How about an artichoke sampler shaved, grilled, lightly fried, stuffed. Or homemade pappardelle with a fave pesto and a bit of ricotta. Pleasant ambiance, attentive service.

First time in this restaurant. It stands out from the usual traditional ones you find in Perugia, but no worries it has fresh truffles, too. Many innovative dishes, very good and very well presented. It doesn't fill you up but the experience is top notch with bill to match.

Very very good carpaccio and the panacota was to die for! Steak was very good too. I’ve seen negative comments about the service but it was very good. There are two people but they were very approachable and allowed you to enjoy your meal!

Nel centro di Perugia abbiamo trovato questa trattoria e nonsiamo rimasti delusi. Ambientazione molto caratteristica, personale cortese, ma soprattutto cibo e vini di ottima qualità. Gusti forti tipici della zona ma ben equilibrati da provare.

Locale bello. Il cibo è squisito e il modo in cui viene presentato è bellissimo! Le porzioni sono giuste. Il prezzo è un po’ alto ma è corretto per la qualità! Lo consiglio!
