The Traditional Coffee House and Deli

We stopped in at this little out of the way gem while on a day 's road trip from St John 's. We were looking for something genuinely local and were not disappointed. This is a simple grab a table, order at the front, and wait for your food to be delivered to you restaurant. We were fortunate to get a table as the place was BUSY on a public holiday in August. We had chicken salad with a couple of cod cakes on the side, and both were delicious. Service was quick and friendly. Recommend!

Excellent Turkey Sandwich with dressing and cranberry included. A complete warm thanksgiving dinner in a sandwich. Delicious! The broccoli salad is to die for.

Had the pea soup and turkey dressing sandwich. Bread was so fresh and soft and everything was delicious. One of my new favourite lunch spots.

This place has a lot to offer with coffees, soups, sandwiches, desserts and even music in some evenings. We had a group of a dozen hikers finishing our morning hike and had ordered sandwiches, soups and a dessert/treat to go for our after hike lunch feed. The sandwiches were deadly. Big portion and tasty. The soup was hot and plentiful. The place had about 8 to 9 tables. We did not want to jam up the place and took the orders to go. The place is brightly lit up from large windows with comfortable seatings. In some evenings, they even have musicians playing on site while having a snack or coffee (which we still need to experience in the near future). Was there once and this returned with a big group and will return again for sure.

Terrific lunch stop during our driving tour around Northern Avalon. All homemade we enjoyed the soups and the mac cheese. Very good coffee as well.
