Beautiful welcoming and friendly pub, we were on a pub war and they were fantastic advice where to go next etc. could not go a nice place
A friend has set the back for a birthday party. the personal was welcoming, the room was perfect the ambiente, the size and the old (a building with a history), as well as the technology that allowed us to select our own music and to have it on a projector screen. the toilet was great and the locals were friendly enough. the absolute star of all the experience was josh the barman. next to the music and the play, he could not have been more helpful and jolly. he also treated us to a fantastic party piece a ribbed pirate song (although the nsfw or for the faint of the heart was). he even made a repetition at the end of the night when we cleaned up.
Nice couple hours here today, 8. august. great eating and drinks. large young man on cash and waiting. very friendly and made a real fuss of gus, our spaniel. cracking too!
My partner and I call in every time we are in Brixham. Josh the barman is very comical and has an excellent singing voice and at Pirate Festival can produce a few shanties to make your laugh or toes curl (depending who's in and the...time of night!! . The owners are always about and offer such a warm welcome. The large meeting area has a large video screen, so you can choose your own tracks and reminisce over the videos or have a dance (i'm always too busy looking at the video! . There are quiet rooms and an outside area as well. Food is good and as someone has already mentioned Sausage Rolls and Quiche are home made try the curry sausage rolls! Perfect for a late saturday night. See you soon and thank you for being a fab pub in Brixham. Heidi Kev!
