With only one table for larger groups, our group was split up. This was a little uncomfortable due to the nature of our group. The food I ordered was very ordinary but a few of the group enjoyed at least one course. One of the waitresses was lovely, the other wasn't particularly friendly but warmed up during the night.

A very warm and quaint environment. Decor a little dated but the food and service counteracted this. Loved my dinner of Mornay Scallops and Potato Skins. I observed other meals as they were served to tables and all looked amazing. Excellent presentation and the Seafood Platter looked delicious. A great environment for an intimate dinner or a special occasion. Prices are up there but I think worth it. Love that it is BYO. Booking before a visit is a must.

The Bay Cafe is a seafood restaurant, and they do it well. Great choice of mains, I had the Perch and it was fab. Comfortable setting with great staff.

If you're looking for views, amazing decor or starched white tablecloths forget it, but if you want great meals and friendly service you're in the right place.We haven't been here for years and wanted good seafood for our 45th Wedding Anniversary and based on TA reviews booked for lunch on a Saturday. So glad we did.Started with bay prawns followed by lobster mornay with prawns, scallops and oysters plus fruit selection and finished with creme brûlée plus brandy snap basket with macadamia ice cream and fruit coulis.Enjoyed every mouthful.Thank you Peter for a beautiful lunch. Looking forward to our return.
