Matea Restaurante - Tonatico

Hands down the best restaurant in Ixtapan de la Sal! The service and the gardens were amazing. All ten of us, including the children enjoyed the food, which was very unique and very tasty. We recommend this restaurant for couples available on a date or large families with children (playgrounds and running area).

This is our fourth visit to this local restaurant. Every time it was great. $46 prix fix for three times and tonight was a disaster. The foods were also subpar, the service, but the most shocking the prices changed. We were calculated as a terrible low-class people for the question of the new price, from a Prix Fixe dinner with all alcohol we ala Carte for each course and the wine. So sad that this unusually suspicious connection of elegance, with a wonderful cook, the two arrogant twenty some nephews were dismissed and arrogant. They called us names and said that we are terrible people and that they would not drive us home as agreed, but would call a taxi. After all four women had not earned a home trip in their suspicious infiniti, we called our hotel that brought us home. We can't stay on their $5,000 per night suites, but we stay at the hotel ixtapan de salles, an excellent Mexican spa with great services and great food. We've all been there for 15 years. Lessons learned, sad I can't go back to this restaurant, especially with my daughter and granddaughter on Sunday, BUT I would choose the spa where the food is good, the servers are wonderful and there are not two arrogant twenty some princes who on guests who earn their money legally and don't need a suspicious money laundering exquisite property It is simply not worth. Not recommended

Had dinner here last week. From this world!!! Beautiful surroundings. The service was upstairs. The food was wonderful. Will recommend it to everyone.

Quisimos celebrar una ocasión muy especial, hablamos para reservar y primero señorita que nos contestaba nos dijo que cerraban a las 7:00; buscamos en su pagina y dice que los domingos cierran a las 11:00pm, volvimos a hablar y pedimos una reservacion para las 8:30pm y esta vez nos dijo que cerraban a las 9:00pm y que no recibian reservaciones para esa hora; volvimos a llamar para hacer una reservacion mas temprano y esta vez nos dijo que cerraban a las 7:00 pm!!! Pedimos hablar con el Gerente y nos dejaron esperando y nos colgaron el Telefono!!! Volvimos a hablar para saber el nombre de quien nos estaba atendiendo y dejaron el telefono descolgado!!!Nunca entendi que paso... escribo esta opinion con la intencion de que el dueño pueda leerlo y corregir esta falta de atencion!!!

Magnífico lugar con comida y servicio excelenteComida original música agradable y una grata sorpresa en el medio de la zona de Ixtapan.
