Contribuiți la feedbackCutting into the steak was quite a challenge; the meat had a grayish color and was tough with a lot of gristle. When the server checked in on us, I showed them the inedible pieces of meat, and they explained that my steak must have been on the bottom. I found that response puzzling. I could only finish about a third of the steak. When they asked if we wanted dessert, I once again showed the poor quality of the meat, but received no response, not even an offer for a complimentary coffee. It was shocking to be charged $45 for a steak like that. Overall, it felt like they didn't care about the quality of their food or my experience. It was a very pricey meal with no concern shown for the subpar steak I was served.
Wonderful food. Veal parm, veal parm chop or veal saltimbuca were all excellent. Apps were great as well. BYOB. Very small and always busy so make reservations a few weeks ahead.
We brought two couples with us tonight because this is our go-to spot when we’re at the shore. The food and service were absolutely outstanding. We even had a special surprise—one of Tardis’s former waitresses, Katie, was working tonight, and it was great to see her again. The other couples raved for two days about the dinner and the generous portion sizes. Thank you, Tardis!
The food was rather average overall. The calamari appetizer didn't impress—it was somewhat mushy and tough. I ordered the veal Francaise, but it fell short of my expectations. The restaurant is quite small and, with a party of nine plus a baby, we were seated right by the kitchen entrance. I was positioned closest to the door and got bumped into several times. Given that there were nine of us, I was taken aback when I was told during our reservation that we would have the table for just an hour and a half. The espresso was good, but the serving size was quite small—only about a third of a cup. You’d be better off making your own at home. On a positive note, our picky eater enjoyed the pasta and sauce, although our older daughter was let down by the meatballs, wishing for her grandmother’s recipe instead. The highlights of the meal were the bruschetta and the Italian cheesecake, both of which were quite delightful.
We had a rehearsal luncheon today at Tardis and I am so happy that we made the choice to dine here. A very pleasant atmosphere and such kind and welcoming staff made our visit so nice from beginning to end. The food is undeniably the best Italian food I have had and there was not a complaint from anyone in our party. Thank you to Tardis for making our time together truly a family time around your table.
