Scala's Deli Catering - Toms River

I had family visiting and wanted to take them to a nice Italian deli. I found a winner! The sandwiches were amazing, the bread was delicious, and the owner even brought out fresh mozzarella for us to try. I will definitely be returning, 5 stars for sure! They also have a great selection of Italian cookies.

Googled best sandwiches near me looking to get lunch for me and my boyfriend on our work break and this spot popped up less than 3 miles from us. Amazing atmosphere and food that smelled delicious right upon entering with a cute little produce stand right out front. Had a great experience today. The food was exceptional, the family that runs this place made me feel like i was a life long friend. I was so pleased, the Lady came out to say hi and at age 86 is as sharp as a tack, funny, endearing and cares about the food. The man, who i am assuming is her son was so kind to everyone who came in, and gave me a fabulous huge semolina roll for our lunch. The 3 of us ate what i got and were absolutely thrilled. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is delicious, the hospitality is wonderful. Anthony and Mama are both amazing. You'll never leave without trying something delicious. It's a true New York deli with all your favorite family dishes. I love this place and will always make time to dine at Scala's. Good eats!

The dining experience was absolutely fantastic, with delicious sandwiches and cookies. I regret not taking more photos. The hardworking staff member even offered us samples of fresh mozzarella.
