Poppy's Place - Toms River

This charming, family-run restaurant offers great value for breakfast and lunch, though they do not serve dinner. The friendly service and retro ambiance make for a pleasant dining experience. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and the owner, Tina (also known as Mrs. Poppy), made a point to stop by our table to welcome us personally. Located just off the main road, this hidden gem is not one to miss!

The staff here are friendly and fun, and I really enjoyed my lunch. I had a delicious combination of tuna, provolone, salad, tomatoes, onions, oil, vinegar, and black pepper. I also had breakfast on December 23, 2021, and again, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was fantastic—it really made me feel at home. On April 25, 2022, I tried the Sloppy Poppy Sandwich, and it was great too!

Nice relaxing breakfast at the small hole in the wall location in downtown Tom's River. Today's breakfast sandwich was roasted eggs, bacon, ham, pork roll, sausage, hot cherry pepper with cheese. Kit had scrambled eggs, bacon crispy and breakfast potatoes. Fantastic price and delicious!!!

It is the best pork and cheese I've ever had, and the prices are completely reasonable. The atmosphere is 50s cheesy. It's worth a 30-minute drive that says a lot for a diner in New Jersey. I make it a point to stop here every time I drive from Wildwood to New York.
