Frutta Bowls - Toms River

The bowl was nearly empty, containing hardly any açaí and just a few pieces of fruit. I've ordered from this place for a long time, but I was very disappointed today with both the quantity and quality of the PuraVida Açaí bowl.

I wish the bases were made fresh; they taste too icy and lack aroma. (I ordered the superfood dish.)

The service was pleasant, but I was let down by the chocolate explosions I ordered. They were overly icy and lacked flavor. I was also disappointed that the peanut butter tasted like almond butter instead. I likely won't return, as I've had better smoothies at other places.

The quality of the ingredients are excellent but the end results vary. Got a s'more bowl last week and the base was the consistency and taste of water, way too thin. Seems to me like they need employees that are older and more responsible than the teen girls they have now. My last 3 bowls were again watery and below my expectations. Ordered an oatmeal bowl that was stone cold. Maybe time to switch to Playa.

If I could give this place, I would. I went for the first time this week. It was so ridiculous about price for fruit and quality is terrible. I and my wife only buy organic fruit and asked how they could?t check if it was even organic fruit! After I noticed that on one of the blueberry molds grow, I ignored it, but I couldn't even eat the bowl because I was sick on my stomach because it was too sweet. I'd rather eat a piece of fruit or just go to a better juice bar. Around it from the shake was disgusting, it was all ice and tasted like salty ice chips. Save your money and go to the right juice bar.
