Applebee's Grill - Toms River

Eliminating the cheese balls was the worst choice they could have made. I’m probably done visiting Applebee's. Every time they introduce something new that’s good, they end up removing it.

The service was excellent. Both the service and meal came out quickly, and the food was tasty. I went there for lunch.

It's your typical local Applebee's—teens everywhere, inattentive hosts and waitstaff, and the food is just average. The only positive is that it stays open late.

It was okay, but we only stopped here because there was an absolute downpour in the area and we couldn't drive anymore in it. My one daughter ordered a Caesar salad that was overly drenched in dressing. Luckily they took it off the bill when they saw she clearly could only eat a few bites. My wife got a burger which was okay. I got the all you can eat option: the boneless wings, which are really just chicken nuggets, we're okay. However, the riblets were horrendous. So much cartilage and far too many small bones. Atmosphere-wise, it was pretty standard. However, they were showing the Olympics on some of their screens, but the network they used started showing episodes of Sex and the City (not kidding) after the primetime Olympics programming went off. Seeing as this was 6:00 in the evening, there were quite a few families with young kids there. Perhaps they need to stay more alert as to what is being shown on the screens throughout the establishment.

Great service and exceptionally door for the price.
