Star Of India - Toledo

I believe this is the best Indian food I've ever tasted. The flavors were outstanding, and the service was even better! I will definitely return!

I tried Indian food for the first time, and it was fantastic! Everything I ordered was fresh and delicious, including the butter chicken, veggie samosas, butter naan, and rice. The price was also very reasonable.

I recently ordered vegetable and chicken samosas through DoorDash, and it was a truly disappointing experience. The food was a disaster. The taste was disappointing—bland and completely lacking in seasoning or flavor. The filling in the vegetable samosa was particularly bad, having a sour, rotten taste. Given the price and some positive reviews I had seen, I expected much better quality. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from this restaurant via DoorDash, as it turned out to be a total waste of time and money. There are plenty of other options available—steer clear of this one.

Possibly issues with the chef not sure but the biriyani we ordered was very moist and almost watery, no salt or spice. Garlic Naan did not have salt. Chicken pakoda was the other item and the chicken felt rubbery and stale. Each item was around $22. Honestly speaking very expensive and not good good for an Indian restaurant. Sorry, had to provide this bad review.

This is the best kept secret in Toledo. I have had Indian food all across North America, and the U.K. but the Star of India is by far the most delicious and authentic. The portion sizes are amazing. You will not be disappointed.
