Shorty's True American Roadhouse

Amazing pulled pork salad and the corn bread muffins are always delicious. We drive from Ann Arbor to Shorty’s regularly for their great BBQ!

I had the pick two plate with brisket and pulled pork. This is my standard BBQ place order because it gives you a good idea of the place. I found the food very tender and the portions very generous. I had to take leftovers so I could have their infamous bread pudding. So tasty with yummy sauce, delicious bread pudding had great texture, and the ice cream was very creamy.

I consider this to be quite a find. I love a great Barbecue! Although my Ribs were not fall off the bone the way I like them, they were still delicious. The Beans are to die for and the Coleslaw was very good. Attentive staff and a nice ambiance. I wish Toledo was closer to where I live! I want to go again and have the pulled pork next time.

First...try the Memphis egg rolls, they're delicious! Their BBQ sauce is so good! All the food was great, as were the desserts! The staff is excellent...they could train other restaurants. They're attentive, knowledgeable and friendly! And it was decorated for the holidays very tastefully while soft Christmas music played. Would highly recommend!

Our family travels around the city of Toledo and surrounding areas for a lunch outing monthly. With 22 family members attending lunch in November we had a variety dishes, and everyone was pleased with their selection. Because our group was so large, we were seated in the front patio, which gave us a lot of privacy from the rest of the restaurant. Excellent service from our waitress.
