J'mae's Home Cooking - Toledo

I visited Ohio for the weekend and enjoyed some delicious food while also getting to see my little cousin at work, all grown up! The food was incredible.

The food was overly salty, and the cabbage and greens were quite bland. Most of the dishes were served at temperatures that were too low, except for the turkey chops, which were the only standout. Overall, everything else was mediocre at best. Given the price, I expected significantly better quality. If you're in a hurry, I wouldn't recommend this place. On the positive side, it was reasonably well-maintained, clean, and had an inviting atmosphere.

The staff and owner are incredibly warm and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious! I drive all the way from Detroit to Toledo just to enjoy their soul food.

We enjoyed ourselves so much til we are planning a weekend just to experience the food and atmosphere all over again.
