Chicago Post Cafe - Toledo

Update: My husband and I had lunch there today (11/19/23), and it was just as impressive! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and my husband had the Reuben, and both were absolutely delicious!

I've visited this restaurant several times mainly due to its convenience, but there's a recurring issue: the food is never served hot. Most of the dishes seem to be pre-made and simply assembled. I've tried burgers, crispy chicken sandwiches, breakfast croissants, and more, but none of them are ever warm. The cheese on my sandwiches is cold and barely starting to melt, and the fries are at best lukewarm. The soups aren't homemade either, although they are warmer than the other items. I wouldn't mind paying the prices if the food was hot, but I only stop by when I'm really short on time.

This place is fantastic! The food is delicious and there's a wide variety to choose from, all at a great price.

The staff was very friendly and answered all questions. The food was very good. Get the garlic fries they are delicious. Plenty of seating and parking. The desserts looked delicious. They seating inside and out.
