Masamadre Toledo

This working bakery/café is the essence of some of the things I love most about Spain…its stylish simplicity leads you to a wonderful selection of pastries, breads, and freshly cooked lunch offerings, which you can eat on-site in its tiny indoor/open air patio. The building itself feels like it’s been there forever, but in a good way…note, that this café might be tricky to find, but it’s only about a 5 minute walk from the centre of Toledo. Back to the fare on offer – visited here three times in the space of as many weeks for coffee, cakes galore, and lunch…every time a perfect experience. This café sets the bar for all others…next time I’m in Toledo, this will be my first port of call.

I love this bakery. The croissants, baguettes, focaccia and bread loaves are all fantastic. They make a little baklava style treat that is also delicious, and they serve coffee, too. Everyone who works there is very friendly and there's a little Toledano style patio where you can enjoy a treat before taking home your baked goods. Highly recommend!

Two savoury pastries followed by two sweet with coffee. Excellent quality and the service was exceptional. A quiet atmosphere, sanctuary from the stampeding hoards visiting this beautiful town.

Es un imprescindible de Toledo. Los productos son de una calidad impresionante. El pan sabe a PAN DE VERDAD. La familia que lo lleva son encantadores, y además tienes el plus de que puedes pedirte lo que quieras tomar y tomártelo en el patio toledano con pequeñas mesitas que tienen acondicionado para ello (o, saliendo de la tienda a la izquierda, en el torreón del Azor, el único torreón que queda íntegro de la antigua muralla romana) Tip extra: en viernes, sábado o domingo, no os perdais sus foccacias con aceitunas, tomate y AOVE
