Contribuiți la feedbackWe were lucky to find this café after visiting the Ghibli Museum. It's just a 5-minute walk from Mikata JR Station.
We ordered the lunch special, which consisted of food resembling temple cuisine. The dishes were very healthy and delicious. This restaurant is a great choice if you are seeking healthier vegan options. The only drawback was that I found it to be a bit expensive.
The restaurant, "Hitokokyu", offers delicious Japanese-style food with a variety of main and side dishes including miso soup, rice, vegetables, and dessert. The croquette and gyoza were particularly outstanding.
It is worth the train ride (and it took me only 20min even though it looks far away on the map) Make sure you pay this restaurant a visits they have a set menu with around four different main courses. When I was there they had cutlet (my choice), hamburger Patty, carrot-veggie Patty, goyza. I loved the meal. It was so delicious and the owner were really welcoming and friendly and cook everything from scratch. I have to admit I double checked if its 100% vegan because the cutlet was so real! It tasted crunchy and delicious! Also the other side dishes and even the rice were 10/10! Rice comes with black sesame. They served it with some dipping sauce, beans in sesame oil and other ingredients, potato in delicious sauce, soup and some sweet pudding. I am honestly in love with this restaurant. I don’t feel bloated and just feel healthy after eating here even though it was a lot of food. Highly recommended
Delicious variety of plant-based foods in a well-balanced and reasonably $15) meal set. Just a couple of blocks from the Mitaka train station. Friendly staff. No English menu, but Google works. Smile.
