Calypso Roti Shop - Tofino

Such a great location with a beautiful view of the water. We had tried to fo for dinner the night before, and they are so popular that they had to shut down early as they had run out of food!The restaurant was clean and the food was excellent, especially their roti. The server was very helpful at explaining each dish. The four of us each tried something different and shared with each other. The food is not too spicy and we would recommend it for families of all ages.Thank you for a great experience! We'll be back in the Fall.

We came here for lunch, we were starving. The man behind the counter was very friendly, recommending what was good (all of it) and showing us what came with each meal. We had doubles to start, which are really good starters, get two if you want it as your main meal. Two curries and jerk chicken. The curry tasted just like my father used to make, so scrumptious. The chicken had a very nice jerk flavour and the hot sauces on the table were very good. Overall the food is great and the staff are nice. Top marks for such an unusual restaurant on a Canadian island, not a Caribbean!

We stopped in on a whim and were blown away! We loved the curry! If you have food allergies their vegan sorbet is amazing! Excellent service, very clean and beautiful views!

We came here for dinner after having a difficult time finding vegetarian or vegan food around town. Unfortunately they didn't have a vegan curry option that day, but the staff were great in allowing us to taste test the various beans available so we could choose what we wanted, and they suggested one of their doubles which was roti with stewed chickpeas. We ordered that plus beans and rice. Both were good, nice flavour, and VERY affordable (dinner cost $14, tip included.) Disappointed they didn't have a vegan curry that day because I'm sure it would have been outstanding. Would definitely come back here again next time we're in town. The restaurant also has a tremendous view.

We had a gift certificate but were not able to stay, so they graciously offered to pack us up a 4 person lunch where we experienced four different dishes. It was not too spicy for those who wanted it mild and we had a bottle of hot sauce to spice up if wanted. The food was very fresh and tasty and I recommend it for all. Cute little space and very clean.
