Don 't go to this restaurant if you 're interested in eating some good pizzas or if you want to enjoy a good atmosphere, because you will end up highly disappointed.... For starters the staff is not friendly at all and absolutely not welcoming. We wanted to eat outside but the unfriendly staff said no and gave us no reason why we couldn 't eat outside on the terrace. Whilst there were plenty of empty tables outside. She sat us down inside and pointed us to the menu which is a QR code on a little plastic card, no smile no information just literally menu there was all she could say. After studying the menu we wanted to ask if they had diet cokes but she was not interested in coming to serve us anytime soon and deliberately not making any eye contact with us. After waiting for a very long time she finally came to take our order. Again no smile on her face it was clear that customer service is not a priority with her. We ordered 2 diet cokes and 2 pizzas. We had to wait another 30 minutes to receive our order. The pizza I ordered was a caprese, they literally threw some ice cold big chunks of tomatoes and Mozzarella on the pizza and some pesto, resulting in a ice cold pizza. The knifes they serve are useless to cut these thick bottem pizzas as well, so it was even a struggle to cut off a piece. My boyfriend ordered the collazione which was maybe 1% better cause at least the pizza wasa little warm...but this pizza was almost only covered with rucola... We will never eat here again.
We stumbled across this bar/restaurant as it was close to our hotel and boy what a find. Despite the clear madness of our request to sit outside in the sweltering heat, they duly set up a table and we had a fantastic lunch which suited all 9 in our party; some of us had panini, some pasta, some salads. It was so good we returned for lunch on most of the days of our holidays (as well as a couple of dinners). By the end of the week we were eating inside as the sun had us beat! We recommend the pizzas and the wonderful assorted vegetable dishes that they incorporated into salads at our request. Nothing was too much trouble. Also the situation of this establishment is superb. Just outside the city by the magnificent Santa Maria della Consolazione. You can sit outside and view the splendour of this stunning church.
A stop at the outdoor tables is ideal for sunbathing and enjoying the panorama and the homonymous temple that rises in the center of the lawn in front. Too bad that, when we settled, the place had no tea, but only herbal teas, on which we had to bend. inside, the coffee is quite common for the furniture, in practice not very welcoming, according to my modest opinion, for those who want to sit in shelter on a windy or rainy day. discreet service, adequate prices.
Had lunch at Caffe Ristorante Della with my husband. He had pasta with truffle which did not taste of that much. I had grilled vegetables and slices of beef with truffle again with only little truffle taste. The waiter was kind but did not bring the pizza menu so my husband did not think he could have had pizza before seeing the table beside us having it. The dessert semifreddo with pistachios was not that good. We had 20% discounts due to booking through TheFork. If not I would not say it was worth going for the food with the current prices. Average and decent but nothing special.
