For Sunday dinner. the food was excellent and good. staff very friendly

16th century pub with a large stone flagged bar and comfortably furnished lounge.

We ordered burgers, chicken, and chips, but the standout dish was the salad. Unfortunately, the burger bun was quite tough, leading my partner - who is a cook - to suspect it was microwaved and then deep-fried. The oil used for the chips seemed old and stale. The lack of other customers should have been a clue that the food wasn't great. It's a shame because the restaurant looked nice from the outside.

The dining experience was top-notch and definitely worth a try. The vegetarian menu was surprisingly extensive, which pleasantly surprised one of my companions. The hosts were attentive and incredibly helpful throughout our meal.

I love dining at this restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and I have come here several times with both friends and family, who all thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Thank you.
