Sankar Cafe - Tiruchirapalli

Nobody can miss this hotel while coming out of the Trichy Railway station. Useful for those who reach the place hungry, to grab some delicious items like masala dosai, coffee etc.,

This is one of the oldest Hotel and is over two decades old. The Meals served during Lunch is a homely one , fresh, hot and very decent. Even though the space is cramped and bit crowded its worth having the meals here.The price is also very nominal and being a very old Cafe, you cannot expect a professional service and the attitude wil be very nonchalant

I was one the way to Thanjavur from madurai. I picked Madurai to Trichy train (also known as Tiruchirappalli, Trichy,Tiruchirappalli etc) I just found this 'Sankar Cafe' just outside the trichy railway station. It's a vegetarian restaurant. It was afternoon so I took a ticket for lunch at counter by paying Rs 60. They served huge amount of rice and different curries, chutneys etc in a big banana leaf. There was a pickle, big papad, buttermilk, sambar, sar/ rasam, rayasam (sweet) etc. It was unlimited meal. You can ask for more. Taste was amazing. Definitely worth more than the price i paid. If you are around trichy railway station, do not miss to visit this sankar cafe.

This hotel special thing is filter coffee. Whoever is visiting here should try this filter coffee. Awesome taste and I love it so much.
