Hotel Southern Spice - Tiruchirapalli

I wish to clarify that we are reviewing here the Southern Spice Restaurant which is located in SRM Hotel in Tiruchi. The hotel itself is located in the Race Course Road, in a pretty green locality.The restaurant serves both South Indian and North Indian cuisine Similarly, both vegetarian and non vegetarian items are provided. During the week visited, it was Mango festival and many items of Mango like Mango lassi, Mango shake etc were on offerI found the vegetarian food to be pretty tasty and very good. A special word of appreciation for the starters. It also serves several rice varieties of South Indian cuisine, including tamarind rice, sambar rice, vathakuzambu rice, rasam rice etc. One of the best items was Mango lassi. The service is pretty good and prompt. Maybe a suggestion from my side to organise the tables and chair in a more attractive and functional manner at the restaurant.

I always make it a point to visit the Southern Spice restaurant at SRM Hotel, Khajamalai whenever I am in Trichy. My preference is to have dinner at this place, although they also serve lunch. If you are looking for delicious food, great service, and a choice of drinks, then Southern Spice is the place to go. The manager, Mr. Manigandan, and his staff provide exceptional service and offer a variety of food options. My go-to dish is the crab, which I always ask them to cook without the shell. They patiently de-shell the crab and cook it in spices, creating a perfect dish to enjoy with a whisky or beer. We also always order the chili prawns, mutton, fish, and various other dishes. Whether you are with family, friends, or business associates, you will appreciate the atmosphere, service, and quality of food at Southern Spice. Prices are reasonable and fall in the mid-range category. If you are a food lover, you must try their non-vegetarian dishes, although they also offer vegetarian options.

Well prepared delicious food. But primarily for non vegetarian foodies. Vegetarian delicacies are limited. A little on expensive side. Staff is very lousy.

This restaurant is one of my favorites. The service is good and starters are served quickly, but the main dish takes a bit longer. This actually allows for more time to chat with family and friends. The fish fingers are a personal favorite of mine, and I enjoyed them with my family last Sunday. I recommend trying them if you visit this restaurant. Overall, it is a great restaurant located in the Cantonment area of Trichy City.
