Siva's Family - Timmins

The food was fantastic, and while our server was a bit curt, overall the experience was satisfactory. The restaurant's atmosphere felt somewhat outdated, but it was clean, which is a definite plus!

I frequently travel to Timmins for work, and Siva's is a restaurant I look forward to visiting each time I'm in the city. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the service and atmosphere are warm and inviting.

We also checked out the all-you-can-eat buffet before ordering, but we were disappointed by the limited options and unappealing appearance—it reminded us of cafeteria food. I’m not sure how this place rates as #1 in Timmins, especially with alternatives like East Side Mario’s and Montana’s nearby. Since it was our first visit, we wanted to give it a shot. On a positive note, the waitress was very pleasant.

Friday night buffet, quite a few tasty meat offerings, with the expected salads and desserts, offered us more than enough to eat our fill and then some. Almost everything was homemade, but their soups in particular were amazing! The owner came out and talked with us for a few minutes and thanked us for our patronage. Such a nice gesture from a hardworking entrepreneur.

Siva 's has always been a go to place when we wanted to have variety so we would hit up the buffet. The last few times unfortunately has been a bust. We were told from the waitress herself that some of the food was from the prior night and you could tell as it wasn 't fresh at all, this was very disappointing especially given the price of the buffet itself isn 't cheap. I really hope it was just a bad day but we had another experience prior that was also disappointing. Lesson learned to always order from the menu if you want your food to be fresh.
