Three of us went to this very good restaurant in Tijuana for a late morning meal. We ordered three different items and every taste. One of us had the Chile Relleno, which is not the traditional Chile filled with cheese or ground beef.... This comes filled with a slightly sweet corn dough tamale. We also had the Pan de Calabazita (Zucchini bread), which is not served as bread, but more a frit with crushed zucchini over a green sauce. I had the beef tongue in a three Chile sauce. All ducks were beautifully presented and were very delicious when a bit salty (a common thing in Mexico, especially if you are on a low salt diet). The beef tongue was served on a deep bowl that made it a bit difficult to eat, the sauce is thick enough that this dish would be better served on a flat dish. They serve excellent handmade tortillas that are thick, soft and fresh. They also serve a somewhat deceptive onion dish. Deceptive how? You might ask well if you try to stay in conversation (more in a bit) and not to consider You may miss the fact that these picked onions with beaver of Habanero Chile and definitely not for the flood of heart or palate! All in all, the food is good, the service is very attentive without being obtrusive, but the food is a little slow to get into the table. Not a big deal if you get excellent food. Now for the bad part. The place is very attractive, but every single surface is wood, concrete or glass. Terracotta or concrete floor, cement walls, hardwood ceilings. Place fifteen people close to the room and every bit of sound bounces around the room makes normal conversation almost impossible. What happens is that people begin to raise their voice to make themselves the head that only worsens the problem. It's NOISY. Almost painful and that makes me hesitate to recommend this place as much as I want. Maybe if they find out it and some carpets down and maybe some cloth tapes on the wall, the problem could be better manageable, but since it is, I simply cannot understand how other critics (in Spanish) have described this place as an excellent ambience.
Really Mexican cuisine, breakfast is great! Service is great, food in general is good quality and it is not the typical only Omelette or Chilaquiles.
No me quedo muy claro el concepto de su gastronomía, en general muy buen servicio, los alimentos Bien preparados, pero estaba esperando algo más diferente,Si valet es muy útil para poder accesar al lugar y veo el lugar con mucha concurrencia femenina, típica en los desayunos,
Gran variedad de platillos de comida mexicana, muy recomendable para desayunar, las combinaciones son opciones recomendables.
