Cerveceria Isla Verde - Tijarafe

This restaurant is a great experience; the service is great and the food well prepared and local. We have rented a house on the maintain side close by and therefore we have visited the restaurant twice already. They serve tapas; potatoes with green and red sauces, padrons, croquettes, and other well known dishes. We’ve also had estofado, chicken in curry sauce and solomillo. Everything has been excellent and also hot and fresh when served. It can be tricky to get a table we called before once and was told it was full but we went anyway and got a table : Great service! We will come again! PS the view from the restaurant is great!

Tijarafe doesn't have a big selection of restaurants. Isla Verde is probably the best one. It has an outside and an inside terrace. The menu is rather limited. Try the locally brewed beers! Very friendly service. It is best to reserve in advance (we visited it 3 times in a week and it was always full).

The cervecería isla verde is okay at best. They specialize in microwave meals. I’ve eaten there on several occasions but nevertheless, given every opportunity to improve on the food, 90% of it is till warmed up by a microwave like seriously, if you ever were to eat there (which I would not recommend), pay attention to the microwave seen by the entrance of the kitchen, it’ll be in constant use, I can assure you of that. Lastly, if you are still reading, on my last visit I called out the chef on this issue, on which, she came out of the kitchen and yelled at my table defending her supposed cooking. I’m very disappointed and I’d rather go eat at home or somewhere else in Tijarafe where they actually serve decent food. Regards M.v.H.
