Divine Catering - Tigard

Alisa and Divine Catering provided exceptional service for a memorial honoring a dear colleague. The event was as beautiful as our friend. The food was wonderful, the staff was highly professional, and they were a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

This company was contracted to provide food for a funeral luncheon for 300 people at noon, but not only did they fail to show up, they also did not call or answer any of our attempts to reach them. After much waiting, they finally responded around 12:30, claiming that the caterer had been in a car accident. However, when the family offered to pick up the food themselves, they then stated that the chef had called in sick and no food had been prepared at all. The family had already paid $5,100 in advance. I strongly advise against hiring this company!

There were never long lines at the bar, everything was served at the perfect temperature, and we were even given sample drinks beforehand to ensure the mixes were just right. The bartender also helped me share a shot with my mom for the first time, which was a special moment! We requested local beers to give our out-of-town guests a taste of Portland, and they provided a great selection of IPAs that fit the theme perfectly. In terms of communication, we were aware of the recent negative reviews and brought it up with them. They were very honest and reassured us, and we ended up having ZERO issues. Lisa was our main contact and bartender, providing support throughout the day. She was incredibly helpful in suggesting rental items we didn't need and keeping our schedule on track. We needed an extra server at the last minute for additional details at our venue, but after discussing it, they didn’t charge us for that, which was a huge relief given all the extra expenses that came in after the wedding. Overall, everything was great, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

We made a reservation with Divine Catering, and it was the BEST decision we could have made! The owner was very professional, and her team was attentive, really listening to our needs for the event. They offered us a fantastic tasting before we finalized our booking and took care of everything we required. In the lead-up to our event, they were always available to address any questions we had. On our special day, the food was incredible, and the staff was exceptionally professional. We will definitely recommend them and use their services again!

Fortunately, we learned that they had ghosted several clients the weekend before ours, so we made the difficult decision to find a new vendor just five days before our wedding, as we had not received any response regarding our final payment for over a week. This has added so much stress to the planning process. On the bright side, I was able to work with some fantastic wedding vendors, including caterers who stepped in for us at the last minute when this company failed to deliver, despite our booking them over a year in advance. I strongly advise steering clear of this company; I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone.
