Burleigh's Luncheonette - Ticonderoga

We waited for an hour and 25 minutes while the restaurant emptied out around us. Customers who arrived after us were served first and started eating, and there were numerous takeout orders being prepared right in front of us. A woman sat down next to us at the counter and received her order within 10 minutes. We weren't offered a second cup of coffee or anything else during our wait. Additionally, we sat across from a black-and-white picture from 1963, but it was partially blocked by some materials. It would have been nice to know what the picture depicted because it looked interesting.

Burleighs is an excellent local restaurant that offers fantastic food at reasonable prices. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming.

The service may be slow, but the food is quite good.

This is a charming restaurant with a versatile menu and an excellent breakfast. It has a diner vibe, featuring cozy low lounge chairs by a spacious counter. However, I've noticed several reviews joking about the service and the intimidating attitude of the waitstaff, and unfortunately, I can confirm that it’s not just a joke. While the food is quite good, the service can feel off-putting. For example, when I ordered coffee with two packets of sugar, I asked for half-and-half, but when I saw there were no sugar substitutes available, I found myself hesitant to ask for anything else. Despite this, I visited a few more times during my stay and still enjoyed the experience.

Good basic price breakfast. It has a 50s theme and is a little worn out. No Wi-Fi or cell available so the family actually had to talk to each other.
