Muy Churro - Tías

We love churros and it’s one of the highlights of going anywhere with Spanish culture. Muy Churro is situated on floor 2 of the main shopping centre in Puerto Del Carmen. There is free underground parking at the shopping centre and lifts to each floors. We had the muy churritos Classic which are six narrow churros in sugar. The churros were freshly made and served in a metal basket. The churros were lovely and we had two cokes, reasonably priced and very filling. We should have really just had one portion between us. There were just one or two things we’d change. The first being that all the tables are high tables with stools. This meant my husband had to get out of his wheelchair to sit at a table, none of the tables are low enough to get the wheelchair under and reach the table. The second being that at the time of day we were there it was about 14:00 and the cover over the tables was not sufficient to shade any of the tables from the sun and it’s quite a sun trap there, I was desperate to move because of the heat before I’d finished eating, and finally I really wanted to use Spanish rather than English while in Lanzarote and every time I tried to say something in Spanish the person on the truck insisted in answering in English and then asking the next question in English. It’s really hard when you’re just learning a language to go between two languages especially when the one you don’t want to use is your first language. But the churros are amazing.

I recently visited CC Biosfera Plaza with my girlfriend there I saw a really cool Food Truck that sells filled churros! I had the Churro Super filled with creamy Nutella whilst my girlfriend ordered a Super Lollipop Waffle. Amazing experience! Lovely taste. Super cool girls serving, very welcoming and friendly. I definitely recommend this churro place to anyone visiting Puerto del Carmen.
