Nomad Bakeshop Sandwich - Thunder Bay

1. once for me today and was the most delicious sandwich I have ever enjoyed! fed the work crew with simple online order! can not wait to go back for more!

Came here on the day 2 of my short stay in tb. absolutely blown away from the quality of the sandwiches here. service was excellent and helpful, and the load itself has a lot of products. came back the day before I had another fantastic sandwich and was not disappointed. that is an absolute must if they are looking for qualitatiw high quality food.

Great location and delicious food for a reasonable price. but the reason why I would say 2 stars is, I would only recommend to go into order, even if it is chaotic to do this because they do not get a big flow for customers through. I have always reliant on their online order for fast pickups because it seems so unorganized in person, but this online really went down as I used it last. Recently my order for picking up at 4:45, came at exactly 4:45 and they pulled my small order out of the refrigerator in the back. I checked my email and they had prepared my order at least one hour and half before picking up. that does not mean that the sandwiches were very cold and a soggy hair. they have not even offered to grill them for us, as the online seems that have removed as an option now. the selected seasonings were taken up by the brot in the refrigerator and as a result my sandwich fell apart when I took it up in a wet chaos. Normally I could let this go, but the fact that this happened on Valentine's Day has ruined our dinner because we both loved nomad and chose this as an option for us. I will be much more careful in the future when I order online. would recommend to include the comment section in the online order if they want it grilled, and perhaps a note about it, it not so far in advance from the pick-up time.

I am quite disappointed with the store as after I had purchased their sauce and needed to return them because they are too large to carry on the plane I was told by the worker at the bay st store that I could purchase the same ones if I I return these and get them at the same price. I planned to buy 6 bottles for family but not only have they gone up from 10$ a bottle to 12$ but I was prepared to pay 12$ However now I was faced with 13.50 or 14$ a bottle at airport. If I was not already told that I could get them at 12$ I would understand but they would not honour what their worker said. I will not be buying these any longer nor will I recommend. It may be that someone made a mistake in giving me the wrong info but good practice and to please a customer they should have honoured what I was told. Not sure if this company has benefited from government programs through Covid but only if they didn’t can I see a need for such a huge jump in price. That’s just the way people choose to run a business or to treat , or not please a customer. They lost 100$ today . My experience.

Their sandwiches might be the best in Thunder Bay. The “Paul” is killer. Love all the local offerings as well, and the pricing is pretty reasonable considering the quality of the food. Excellent service always. We live close to the Bay/Algoma area so really enjoy walking there to get lunch. I wish there was more seating though; we would probably go there more if we could go knowing there would actually be somewhere for our small family to sit and enjoy a meal. There’s only a couple chairs and they’re often taken. A couple years ago I complained about their YQT kiosk and the owner took the time to reach out and ask for feedback. Looking back I realize now that I was wrong, though overpriced, at least they actually took the plunge to modernize the food selection in the terminal at the airport instead of your usual crappy chain places. It’s expensive but to be fair, at par with other major airports, and at least you know the revenue is staying in the community.
