Urban Plates - Thousand Oaks

Chicken 3 tender plate and the hot Nashville tender sand had over cooked dry chicken, borderline burnt. $55 for horrible chicken. Their buttermilk sauce is also horrible and runny.

Urban Cafe makes a delicious Braised Beef and Mushrooms otheredanin their einr gravy Mashed Potatoes and fresh baked Garlic Bread. I ordered a side of Green Salad with Beets and Avocado. Everything tastes as good as home made and as it looks. I am a grass fed meat andsshed potato gal. Urban Cafe chef apos;s know what they are doing. Good is seasoned to perfection. It apos;s Lip Smacking Good! I highly recommend Urbsn Cafe. You apos;ll be glad you did!

The garlic shrimp with parmesan butter was quite good, and the hummingbird cake was delightful. However, the mango portion was a letdown. The slice was very small for the price and lacked much flavor.

The grilled steak was tasty, but it could have used a bit more seasoning. The asparagus was good as well, although each stem had about 1.5 inches that were pretty tough. The potatoes were excellent, and I really enjoyed the Flourless Chocolate Cake Slice. It might have just been an off day for the restaurant. I'll definitely be ordering again.

The shrimp steak from the new Surf Turf menu was excellent. My only complaint is that everything arrived quite cold. The food was delicious, and the concept is great!
