Tilted Kilt Pub Eatery - Thousand Oaks

The Tilted Kilt is a pub/eatery that is much akin to the atmosphere of, say, Hooters or Twin Peaks. A sports bar that serves up bar staples and adheres the eye to a friendly atmosphere. Although this pub has been around for a few years and seems to be undergoing a transition to a new style of restaurant. The staff has always been friendly. I enjoy the wings and the spinach salad. I used to come in o Thursday for karaoke nights, which I hear they still do. Most days, the restaurant feels a little light in customers unless there's a sports event going on. It still is a fine establishment. It just needs an update to keep it relevant in these current times.

It's definitely a small local bar , we ordered some appetizers, the server was great, friendly.

The food was delicious and came out quickly, good service, clean restaurant.

Went there for Karaoke. Ordered drinks and never saw the waitress until we went to the bar and asked for water. Bartender said we have to get it from the waitress. Very poor service! Don't know how the food is, we didn't eat. We were a group of 4. Sadly this was our first time there and will be our last. I liked it when it was Mermaid Tavern. I felt the staff didn't care about the seated customers just the bar. Karaoke needs some changes, should be a live person not automated. Plus the lyrics should be placed so the singer could actually sing to the crowd instead of the lyrics behind the singer.

Not worth the headache. Twice I have been charged over on my card at this place. Spoke with the manager and he wanted to know the name of the server. When I said I did not know, he said to dispute the charge with my bank. By the time I contacted the bank, the charge was corrected. What a joker. Makes sense the place is almost always empty. Not impressed with the food either, and considering the elevated prices and a fight to get your money back if your charge is one of the “accidents”, this place is not worth the headache. For sure better places in the area to eat. I would love to see an accounting of how many charges have been disputed at this place.
