Los Dos Amigos - Thousand Oaks

I've been coming here since I was a kid, so close to 25 years and the food has always been delicious. That bean dip has been a they serve with chips is second to none. Pro Tip: if calling in a take out order, if a lady answers the phone and puts you on hold, just hang up and call back in a few minutes, or you'll forever be on hold every time. Just this person though.

Huge disappointment! Ordered the grilled fish as presented on the menu and received pan fried. I asked why the fish was not grilled as presented and the head waiter said they don 't grill fish. When I explained that that is what they have on the menu, his reaction was oh well There was no offer for a make good to take off the bill.... This tells me that they know what they are doing and don 't care. Too bad, they used to be really good but the last three visits have changed my perspective.

Great Food Authentic , staff is very pleasant . The inside looks very Mexicana . Good Good place to go .

Looking for something different? The place we wanted was too busy for our time schedule so we popped in here as it was just a few blocks closer to the freeway. Upon reflection, I see why there was no waiting on a Tuesday at 12 noon. Nothing we tried was memorable. The food was okay, not bad, just not anything I'd get again. Service was good, the iced tea was good and I suppose if you knew what they did best everything would be good. Your mileage may vary.

This place used to have great food service, what happened?!? I suspect new ownership. The food tasted different, didn't taste as fresh tasty as it once was and the service wasn't great. The menu price the actual price I was charged for what I ordered were different but I decided to just pay the extra 3 bucks because I didn't want to wait any longer for my check. Unfortunately we will not be back it's a disappointment to say the least, this used to be one of my favorites.
