Great restaurant for a quick bite to eat, takeout and some classic Korean comfort food. We ordered the rose tteokbokki along with the half kimchi half tuna kimbap. The tteokbokki was super soft and we added cheese and fishcake for an additional $6 total. The cheese was really good but clumped into a blob that was hard to pick apart easily. The sauce for the tteokbokki was super delicious though and the cream from the rose sauce cuts the spice a bit. The kimbap was super fresh and the tuna/kimchi mix was a pleasant surprise. The only downside is the rearaunt was very cold (we wore our coats) and the waitress forgot our order. However, they were very apologetic of the situation and gave us free drinks.Parking: Parking is behind the rearaunt and limited

Food was great! However they don’t put the heater on during the winter time, causing us to shiver while eating.

So Good!!!Went here on a Friday night around 6:30 and had to wait about 15 minutes. It's a small place with a cute interior. Very simply decorated and furnished but clean and pleasant. Once we were seated we ordered off the menus that you view on your phone through QR code. The server was so sweet. It was quite busy in there and she seemed to be the only one waiting tables. Once in a while someone popped out from the back and helped out but mostly it was the one lady. She was so apologetic for the wait but we didn't mind at all. Times are hard for the restaurant business so these things are expected, especially for a seemingly small, family-run business. We ordered a combo that came with two toppoki choices, a rice choice, a fried appetizer set and two drinks and I believe it was only $40! It was honestly such a steal for the amount of food and variety you get. We chose the rose and curry toppoki and the tuna/kimchi kimbap which we realized had a small up-charge since they were the more expensive items rather than the original toppoki. The food was amazing! Firstly, portions are large, we all had leftovers by the end, secondly quality and flavour were so good! My curry toppoki was so creamy and flavourful, the sauce was rich and the rice cakes were perfectly chewy. My husband loved the rose flavour even though I found it super spicy! You can choose your spice levels and I even found the level one to be quite hot! The kimbap was the best I've ever had. The rice and fillings were so fresh tasting, even the seaweed was so snappy and delicious. The fried platter was also so good, I loved the fried fish cakes and dumplings. That was such a nice treat to go with everything else. The ambiance is not bad, the food, price and kind service makes up for it. Unfortunately we were sat near the door which made it quite cold whenever the door opened/closed which was frequent as the place was so busy! Next time I'd hopefully get a table more towards the inside but the food kept us nice and warm. Overall probably my new favourite Korean restaurant. If I lived closer I'd be here every week. Can't wait to come back to try more dishes!

Cute and quaint korean street food spot in thornhill! Sinjeon really satisfied my cravings for some yummy rice cakes and fried food on the side. I’ve never been to Korea before but I know that this would be a go to street food dish for me.I tried the rose combo that comes with rose tteokbokki, deep fried fish cakes, and a tuna mayo rice bowl, it also came with a drink $25)! We added sausages to our tteokbokki too +2.99) and in total it was very filling.The rice cakes were the perfect texture, soft and chewy, and the sauce was sweet but spicy at the same time. We got level 1 spicy and it had a kick so be careful if you can’t handle your spice! ?My favourite was the tuna mayo rice bowl it was so delicious mixing it with the tteokbokki sauce, and really cooled down the flavour as well.I would highly recommend checking them out if you are in the area and need your fix on korean street food. This is definitely a restaurant you go to grab a quick bite, I wouldn’t recommend anything fancy or large groups here.The server was very polite as well I’ll definitely be back!
