Contribuiți la feedbackI'm sure most my friends would be shocked at how i gave them only a 4.0 rating, considering i eat there religiously. Ive been eating at this location for years, i've been a hockey sushi fanatic as long as i can remember. Ive seen employees come and go and I've always stuck by them... Recently their service has been awful, not saying it was any good before but it tends to get frustrating when the place you LOVE to eat is uncomfortable. There food is absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! People say I'm biased but I've been to more sushi restaurant than anyone i know. Ill be realistic they can give me the worst service and i would still come back day after day.
While the service may not be the most friendly, the sushi at this restaurant more than makes up for it. It is without a doubt the best sushi in the city. I know individuals who make the trip from downtown just to dine at Hockey Sushi every week. The sushi is always fresh and the restaurant is always busy, ensuring that the fish doesn't sit untouched for too long.
I have conflicting feelings about this restaurant. Like other reviews, I have had both positive and negative experiences here. However, overall I have had more positive experiences than negative. When it's bad, the sushi doesn't taste fresh and the service is poor. But when it's good, the food is delicious and the service is excellent. It can be a bit of a gamble to dine here, but I have returned multiple times.
Sometimes good, sometimes bad.. Out of all the sushi restaurants i went to i say this one is the best. On par with Aji Sai IMO. I went here about 25 times and 6 of them were bad services. Other than that the food has always been great. Love the spicy salmon rolls !
I highly recommend Hockey Sushi for delicious food at a great price. The maki rolls and tempura are fantastic. The atmosphere is a bit crowded, but the efficiency of the cooks is impressive. I was not a fan of the new black pepper chicken dish, as it didn't taste like black pepper. The fried rice was too salty, likely due to soy sauce. Despite these minor issues, I keep coming back for the delicious food. Make sure to call ahead and reserve a spot, as the restaurant is always busy.
