Interesting decor- 2 big screen tv with anime- fun eats- good place to grab a yummy Japanese rice bowl and some side dishes

Popped in here late on a Snowy Tuesday, evening. There were a few tables with patrons, but mostly the place was empty. I wanted take out, so I asked the host what was popular and she indicated the curry was definitely one of the more popular ones. Ok, I ordered up the Pork Katsu Curry Rice dish. The place wasn't much inside, in fact it's pretty basic. I had asked how long I'd have to wait for my food and the gal said 15 mins. Ok, I think I waited less than 5 mins and my food was being bagged up for me. When I got the meal back to my hotel, I was pleasantly surprised. In the bag was the pork katsu over rice, the the curry and veggies in one container, another container with the salad, and yet another one with miso soup. All this for $11 ! I pour the curry over the the katsu, and it's delish ! again, $11 ! How can you go wrong with that ?The curry was flavourful and the miso soup was nice and hot (temperature)! Overall, I am pleasantly surprised at the good quality of the meal, the speed at which my food came out and the extras (ie: Salad and Miso). I was honestly expecting only the Kastu. I think I'll be returning and trying some of the other dishes there.Sorry I forgot to take a photo... wolfed down my food a bit too fast

Those late night dates or nights with a lot going on, always led us to Donburi, the home of the tastiest rice bowl you will ever eat! When they changed ownership (or at least, proprietors) in 2014, we were worried that the top quality and taste of their dishes would suffer, but that has not been the case.The food has been nothing short of tasty and awesome from day one and this goes for their dons, their izakaya dishes and their other offerings, just brilliant all around. Tuna Tataki Don is superb, as well the Chicken Katsu Don, the BBQ Chicken Don and the Ten-Don. For the normal Gyu-Don and its variations, I have never tried them, but they are the bees knees, apparently. For the izakaya dishes, Takoyaki, Ikayaki and Lotus Chips are absolute winners, as well as any other fish they offer. I haven't tried their Nagoya Wings, however if they are anything close to the real thing, they will be incredible.And the staff is great! Irene is so nice and generous, just a wonderful place; in the future, play Yowamushi Pedal or Fairy Tail, no more Attack on Titan!

I think this restaurant attracts a lot of otakus and weabos, especially since they have anime theme and show anime shows on their tv screens. And it's run by Chinese. With that said, I like coming to this place for the food. Lunch deals are good and you can have Hong Kong style milk tea with that deal. I love their dons and skewers and curry rice. I also love that they stay open late, just like everything else on this plaza. So Asian :DService and quality is consistent. Staff is friendly. And food is always good.

I've been here several times ans I keep coming g back for their food because it's so amazing. They're open late and they are famous for their rice dons (obviously). But you seriously have to try their skewers. I'd recommend the beef tongue or the chicken wings haha . Mmmmm.. everything is marinated to perfection. Yum!
