Contribuiți la feedbackI accidentally came across the Inn at Spencer Bridge on my way home from Kamloops. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly faces that welcomed me. I was provided a beautiful large room with beautiful views of the mountains, the river and the trains! The bed was comfortable and the free breakfast in the morning was delicious! I returned about a month later for a 5-day stay for business because of my previous experience. The owners, Dorothy and Mike go beyond and beyond to make sure their guests have a pleasant trip. The terrace, full of beautiful flowers and located on a bench overlooking the river, mountains and trains is an excellent place to relax and in the beauty surrounding you in the canyon. The historic Inn offers a look back into history with unique objects that are carefully cured. I'm looking forward to my next stay.
My 3-year-old son, father, and I had a wonderful stay at this restaurant. The room we stayed in was spacious and had a newly renovated bathroom. The hotel itself was beautifully designed and very unique. The hosts were lovely and it was nice to sit together and chat in the evening. They even provided toys for my child and ensured that the property was safe for him without me having to ask. Their thoughtfulness was much appreciated. We enjoyed watching the trains pass by our room window every 30-60 minutes. The noise at night added to the charm of the place. Overall, I would definitely stay here again for the warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Wow! The owners were great, full of information and very friendly. We had the Railroad room (not all rooms have a private bathroom - you do, and also a balcony). We could watch trains right on the balcony. We sat in the morning on the terrace on the other side of the building and got some great photos from the Thompson River, the train went in the other way, and Eagle, Osprey and many smaller birds! It was amazing. Just note that there are not many restaurants in the city. But what a great attitude! And amazing restoration work on the building. There is a restaurant in the Inn, but it wasn't open at night. We had breakfast there in the morning. I'm evaluating the Inn itself.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for history enthusiasts. The new owners, Mike and Dorothy, have transformed the old hotel with a theme inspired by their heritage. The back deck offers a stunning view of the Thompson River, and the rooms are lovely. To reach this hidden gem, follow #8 motorway from Merritt along the Nicola River in Spencesbridge, or take the Fraser Canyon highway. It's definitely worth the visit!
During our business travels this summer, we stayed multiple times at the Inn at Spence’s Bridge and I must say, it has been one of the most comfortable stays I’ve had on the road. The inn is clean and has a fascinating history tied to the gold rush and railroad. The owners truly make the experience exceptional, as they treat you like family. Additionally, the view of the Thompson River is stunning. This inn is the perfect place to stay between Vancouver and Prince George.
