Genki Asian Cafe - Thompson Falls

We were greeted promptly and ordered the General 's Chicken to go. The restaurant smelled of good food. We drove about 20 minutes to our campsite and opened the food box. The food was still hot, a good sign. Big disappointment! Lightly breaded was more like 1/8 plus in a viscous sauce. Never had General Tsao 's Chicken that was breaded. The flavor was mostly spicy, not really pleasant. The meat seemed old and stringy. The rice was like 3 minute rice, mostly starchy glop. Not good quality at all. How anyone who has ever experienced GOOD Asian food can give this place 5 stars is beyond me. Maybe I 've eaten in too many Asian communities to know what real Asian food should be.

At here once, that is enough. The gentleman that waited on us was okay, but could have been better. We were the only diners in the place. We ordered, took longer than expected. When our food arrived it was nothing short of disappointing. I've eaten at many great Chinese restaurants, this not Chinese food. I've never had chowmein with gravy on it. Very disappointing. We won't be going back and we live here.

Don't eat inside. So the glasses are already on the table. #dirty. The food is mediocre/poor. Weird. Not even owned by Chinese people.. so is it really Chinese food??? I ponder.

We stopped in after going to the animal shelter. the food was great, the price was great. definitely will go again when we go through Thompson Falls.
