Boston Pizza - Thompson

For Thompson standards it was pretty goodThe food is your typical chain food quality and the servers knew what they were doing.

Thompson doesn't have much to offer, but if you are visiting or are a local this seems to be the best restaurant/bar in town.

Their ribs gets more boring every year. Its like eating un-marinated straight boiled pork. The french onion soup seems to get better though.

Group of six, three adults, three kids. Everything about this visit was typical of a family visit to a Boston Pizza, with the exception of the service from the serving staff. All the problems started after we ordered. The place was only about 80% full, but the food took a very long time to arrive at the table, somewhere in the area of 35-40 minutes. We asked about our food and a different server brought out the first four of the orders, then she brought out the fifth order and it was completely wrong. She was informed of this, and decided to start to walk away. We insisted that it was not our tables order and she could take it away. She was asked about the actual order and she got defensive and said "I am not your server. Talk to her about it". Our original server cam back and apologized about a mix up and said the fifth order would be out shortly. We were still missing the sixth order, which was a salad, that we had to ask to get. Everyone eventually got their food, and everything tasted fine.I think this experience made our server a little gun-shy as she never once checked on our beverage situation and had to be flagged down for the bill.I do not know where the ball got dropped in this meal experience. Did the order not get taken correctly? Did the kitchen forget items? Was the kitchen too busy? Are the staff not trained well? Who knows, besides the BP staff that day.

Average at best. Don't get a Steak. They have no idea how to cook it. Salads are pretty mediocre - better to get a salad at Safeway. Beers are nice and COLD!
