I had the chicken/eggplantat/spinach,mozzarella w/ziti and it was excellent. I've eaten several times in your restaurant and I've never been disappointed. I want to see this dish as a standard on the menu and not just a hit or Miss Special. My wife was also impressed with her meal.
This is the first time in your restaurant that I thought was a great experience overall, great food great service great atmosphere, our server was very friendly and always check them with us when we need something. I would definitely recommend Ciao Ristorante to friend, and I will definitely be back.
My wife and I reserved a booth for a Saturday night dinner, our first time dining at this relatively new establishment. The main indoor dining area is fairly small and merged with the large bar. So as people filled the bar the noise level got pretty loud. There are a few booths and a few isolated tables in this industrial looking space with unfinished ceiling and stark cement floor. The look seems to be going for that neo-Italian warehouse vibe, lots of black and generally a minimalist decor. Vaguely chic. The bar has a large television which you see easily from the dining area. There was music playing but it was hard to hear over the din. Service was prompt and professional from start to finish. The menu includes s good assortment of Italian-American favorites including plenty of appetizers, salads and entrees. There’s also a lengthy list of specials that included some unique options. I chose the Fettuccini Chicken Scarpariello because I like spicy dishes. It was good except it disappointed on the heat meter, almost no spiciness. The pasta itself was very good, the sausage was also somewhat bland but overall it was solid. My wife had a pasta and eggplant dish that was also good. Both entrees were very generous portions. We had the arugula salad which was plenty for two people and had a tasty lemony dressing with parmesan shavings, olives and tomato. Our appetizer was calamari with cherry peppers Gorgonzola, and it was very good. The restaurant has solid glass walls on two sides and offers a good sized outdoor dining space which includes a few booths as well. They offer dinner accommodations for large parties (up to 80 people) in a separate room off the bar area. Parking is plentiful. The food was good, pricing pretty normal for quality dining, food came out quickly, a few beers on tap and a fair wine list that seemed a tad pricey (no Chianti offered surprisingly) so I’d go back again but it was not compelling.
Service wasn't great, and they added a 20% tip on a table of 3.
