Peachwave - The Villages

I absolutely love this restaurant, especially on No Way Thursdays. We don’t have anything like this back in Wisconsin, so it’s such a delightful treat!

During my visit to the restaurant, I noticed that I was the only young male with tattoos and a slightly darker skin tone than the typical white patrons. The staff's behavior towards me was unusual; they didn't greet me with a “hi” or even a smile. Two white employees at the front were engrossed in conversation rather than attending to customers. When I approached the register, one of the staff members decided to "pretend to sweep" a few feet away from me, seemingly trying to keep an eye on me as if she suspected I was up to no good. There were plenty of tables and chairs that needed cleaning, yet she chose to sweep next to me instead. This experience made me realize that Peach Wave seems to have a pattern of hiring only white employees, and it felt like racial profiling might be an unwritten policy within the company.

Honestly the yogurt isn't good and it seems like they add food coloring in some of the flavors. However it's a nice place to sit at with the family if the kids want something sweet. The service is good. Employees are very sweet.
