The Tea Cosy - The Rocks

We went there last Sunday at around 3pm. The Rocks Market was great and there was a nice-looking guy singing by the restaurant so the atmosphere was relaxing. The decoration and the teapots were cute and made it a good photo spot. We ordered the 3-tier grand stand. The scones tasted fine but were a bit dry. The fresh cream didn’t give a strong taste like clotted cream. The strawberry jam was a bit too sweet to my liking. The house tea was ok but didn’t make an impression. For the price I paid and based on past reviews, I did expect smoked salmon in my sandwiches but there wasn’t any. I only found eggs, ham, tomato and some herbs, which was kinda disappointing. It’s a good experience overall if you are a visitor, but it’s hard to imagine local going back.

Very friendly service. The menu was accommodating to my vegan Friend. Great, cozy indoor seating that makes you feel like you're in your grandparents living room. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian and vegan options available for the sandwiches. Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch
