Valencia’s Tex-mex Garage

A friend and I stopped in for drinks after seeing their ad for weekend happy hour in the community impact paper. There wasn't room at the bar so we were sat at a table in the center of the restaurant. We ordered water and large margaritas as soon as we arrived and noted that we wouldn't be ordering food. The inside was decorated nicely and was overall very casual. Our server brought out waters immediately and noted that the bar was heavily backed up with orders so it would take awhile to get our drinks. I was surprised how long it took with the limited number of people in the restaurant. While we waited, they did bring out chips and salsa. The chips seemed overly stale so weren't something we ended up eating. Our server was great and checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. When the margaritas did arrive, they were on the sour side but still good. I do think the pricing in the add is a bit misleading considering how it actually works when you arrive. The lower price on the add seems to be for a special lunch size and not a regular margarita. Overall, we had an OK experience but this isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit again.

Came during happy hour. The ambiance is pretty chill. We were greeted upon entry and the staff were very warm and welcoming. Complimentary Chips and salsa were great. Birria tacos and beef fajita's were mid. I had to add salt to both dishes as well as the complimentary green sauce. The food most definitely lacked flavor. The drinks were really strong and good though, but considering it was happy hour, they were a bit smaller than I was expecting.

Jefferson was great! Even though it was busy, he was on top of everything. Food came out quickly. They have bottomless mimosas $0.01 refills) definitely worth it. The table next to us got chicken quesadillas and they looked really good, so I will definitely be back to try those and the margs because they looked good too.

1. These were the best chicken enchiladas ever. The chicken could not have been cooked better by Gordon Ramsey himself.2. The vibes here are SO CUTE and inviting to both families and friend groups. It’s a wonderful place to hang out and have buoy great Tex-mex. Plus the staff was so friendly and attentive, it was an overall great experience!3. The ONLY negative is that it’s kinda cold inside…. But nothing one of their margaritas can’t fix!Parking: So much parking!

The first time I came here the food and drinks were very good! However, the last time I went was a completely different story. It was so loud, the food was not good, and our waiter was extremely touchy. Every time he came by our table, he would touch my shoulder as well as my dad's shoulder. The last time I was there I had the elote and it was delicious. Today it was tasteless. I will say the decor of this restaurant is absolutely amazing. However, I will not be coming back here.
