Daves Hot Chicken

My Honest review after just eating here at the Houston location grand opening. I am 3 minutes away from location. ????The Pros: ????Great customer service ????Long line went fast ????Everything was hot and cooked through. ????Dave's sauce is good. ????They have honey for the chicken. ????The chicken sandwich bun is buttery and toasted. ????I got light mild which is true mild which I appreciate. ????The Con's: ?The Star of the meal: the fries and the mac and cheese were delicious? ????Its a One Note flavor meal.The chicken is cooked well but not that much flavor. Its chicken tenders with tons of paprika which gives it the red color but it becomes one note when that's the only thing you taste. I didn't taste salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper or anything else all I taste is paprika. ????Too much coleslaw in the sandwich ????Value meal a little on the high price side especially since it doesn't come with a drink included. ????Meals come with a regular white slide of bread from any grocery store, not buttery nor toasted. All In all a 6 out of 10. Chick fil a Chicken Sandwich is still King and Raising Canes still has the number one spot concerning value, crispy and flavor for their tender meal.

Good stuff! Had the hot sliders and man they were good! The chicken was crunchy, moist and of course? with a nice kick to it. The mac and cheese was on point too. On the menu they said its sliders but believe me, they?re full size sandwiches.

I enjoyed myself meal. The menu has three entrees to choose from. In my opinion, when you only offer three options you should do them well. I would like to say I believe they did a FANTASTIC job at all three options. Our chicken was seasoned very well. Try the heat index at your own risk . I might think that HOT may not really be hot and you may disagree so I won 't comment on the heat index itself. The atmosphere is light and playful. There 's graffiti on the walls with funny sayings. It 's somewhere you go to just relax, chill, and eat. The reason I rated them four stars is because they are UBER expensive for chicken, in my opinion. I also strongly dislike their seating arrangement. The chairs that they offer are very small. I think it 's very awkward to have my thighs above my waistline when I have to sit down. I do believe I will return when my pockets have recovered from the amount that I spent. Like I said it was well seasoned chicken and the vibe was chill.

Came by right at open on a weekday and there was no line and the food came out hot. Great service here and a convenient drive thru. I got the #2 combo with Mac and cheese instead of fries and added cheese to my sliders. The Mac and cheese was bad I took one bite and didn?t eat the rest. The sliders were actually pretty good and spicy since I got the Hot spice level. The pieces of chicken were big and the portions overall were good. The sliders had a good amount of flavor with the sauce and there was more sauce on the side should one need it. I think mico?s is still the gold standard for hot chicken in Houston but this place wasn?t bad.

First time here? The cashier Ben was extremely helpful. He explained everything to us and had great customer service. Food was absolutely amazing. Chicken is fresh and juicy. Fries are well seasoned and crispy with great flavor. Beware hot is hot?. Lol. Enjoy!!
