Momiji Japanese Chinese - The Dalles

The salmon tasted so fresh! Lots of options for sushi, some unique ones too.

We were in The Dalles hosting an Open House for our Real Estate clients and were craving noodles and teriyaki so decided to go to Momiji based on the reviews. We had never been to one and based on this experience will not be going back. Simply put, there was no flavor in either dish. They weren't horrible but there was just no flavor at all. Service was great and we are thankful that they were open because we did manage to fill our bellies but the food was very bland.

Ordered takeout and they were quick. I got a Combo #9, but the shrimp and pork were so covered in the deep fried breading that you couldn’t taste the meat. So I pulled the breading off and the meat was super dry. The Kung Pao Chicken had a good flavor but was way too spicy for me even though it didn’t say it was a spicy dish. The pork fried rice was good except for the pork, which was very over cooked (dry and hard). Also, it was a ton of food that could have fed 2-3 people (I was traveling, so I had to throw away a lot of food).My wife got an avocado roll and enjoyed it.

Great food, great price, great service! I will go back. A hidden gem.
