Food was fantastic brought most home ... waiter was fantastic and the Caesar’s made was perfect ... manager came over and gave us a free appetiser ... music was great and prices where lower then I expected for the look of the pub ... would recommend and we will go back again ...

My fiancé and I had a late night dinner on Friday, January 13th at Ye Olde Squire on Upper James in Hamilton. The live music was great! At first we were a little unsure since the music was quite loud and there were no tables other than one right at the entrance. It was quite cold so we waited for another table to come available. We only had to wait 5-10 minutes. The service was pretty good. All the waiters/waitresses seemed to help each other out. The food was awesome as always. I had the cream of mushroom soup. It was just ok. The French Onion is much better. For my entree I had the chicken pot pie in a Yorkshire pudding. Excellent! 5-star. My fiancé had the prime rib in a Yorkshire pudding. This was the nights special. It was lacking in meat but still pretty good. Getting our cheque was quick and easy. The bill was $46 for 2 people. Overall a wonderful experience. We will be back again!

Food was excellent had fish and chips and portion size was very generous our server Delany was excellent

Awesome place to have dinner or just meet up with co workers...family...or friends! Great decor and ambience! Simply a beautiful place to hang out...friendly servers...managers came to visit during dinner to chat and ask our opinions... Wonderful menu....would highly recommend this restaurant!

It was Mothers Day and insanely busy. We had reservations for 11am and got out seatno problem. Because of how busy it was tho...we waited for teo hours to receive our food. We were the last table to receive their breakfast. Our waitress was amazing and brought us bowls of fruit while we waited. When the food finally arrived it was AMAZING!! So worth the wait!! When it came time to pay the waitress said it was on them because of our long wait and that is not how Squires usually runs its business. Love the food and the staff. Wish there was one in Waterloo!!
